MS Money in Windows 10

For those of you that still use versions of Microsoft money, or would like to use the programme, this will still run in W10. If you have upgraded to W10 on a machine already running Money then this should still be installed, but, depending upon the version, upon opening you may get an error message saying an earlier version of Internet Explorer is required. This is easily overcome by a simple alteration to the registry. As registry items are not to be trifled with, I will not post the alteration but can give details to any member who would like it.

There is also an up to date version of Money in the apps store which can be easily downloaded and should run okay. One problem here is that some earlier versions save their data in formats that are not compatible with the new version, so you may not be able to import existing data, but will have to start from scratch.

From the posts already on the Microsoft forum for Money, it would appear that this is still a popular programme.

I have downloaded the "Free app" for window money on my windows 10 machine and it looks the same as the old version.
As this was downloaded on a clean version of windows I do not know if it will pick up the " saved money data" so be carefull as you may have to manually copy the information and accounts ect. into the later version from a hard copy or a second machine!!
