Changing the default Apps

The title does not really say it all for the uninformed but this means if you open a file, a photo for example, and it always opens in a program that you would rather not use then this short tutorial will show how to change that behavior.
You can lead a horse to water, but a pencil must be lead.
I think Oxygen might be poisonous, it just takes 80 years to kill you.
Do light bulbs give off light or do they just suck in the dark?
